I am using Garage Band 10.4.6 on my 21" iMac using Big Sur Version 11.7. I can't find the pedals effects to create an effect board. I do as the instructions say and I only have a reverb and an equalizer. Is there an additional download that I'm not seeing.

The pedalboard button is only available, if you have an electric guitar track selected. You can add the plug-in manually for different kinds of audio tracks. You can find more information here: GarageBand User Guide.
When you create an audio track for electric guitar or bass, you can choose patches with an amp model and one or more stompbox pedal effects.
Here's a Pedalboard overview that you may find useful as well: GarageBand Help
Note: The Pedals button is available only if Pedalboard is inserted in the currently selected audio track.
You can also use the Pedalboard plug-in on audio and software instrument tracks. For information about using effect plug-ins, see Add and edit effect plug-ins.

Thank you for your reply, Drew. I saw all those postings. There is supposed to be a little "pedal" icon near the bottom right,...I am missing that. What I am trying to do is create a pedal board.
