App store frozen

Trying to update my card details. Adding a new card, I was then unable to make my new card my default. Can’t use the arrows to make my new card the default at the top. Can’t press edit to remove old card. Can’t “Go back”. Can’t close App Store. Can’t shut down my macbook as the App Store is open, yet cannot force it to close. I’ve had to hold the power button on the macbook to restart.

Going back to App Store after restart allows me to change the default card. But once this has been actioned App Store freezes again and doesn’t allow me to do anything. Each time I want to take a new step in the App Store I have to reboot my macbook.

Anyone else know of this problem and what might be causing it?
