CFExpress Type B cards unreadable on a MacBook Pro

Has anyone else had an issue with CF Express cards not being read by photo programs on a Mac? How did you solve it?

I'm using a Delkin 128 CF Express card, Sony MRW-G1 XQD/CF Express B reader on an older Macbook Pro with OS 10.15.7. The CFExpress card shows up as a disk image on the desktop, but is not available in any photo program for import. Invisible to Photos, Photoshop, Affinity Photo, etc. If I switch to an XQD card, everything works. I'm using a NikonD850 upgraded to read/write CF Express (Firmware 1.21).

I can drag and drop images from the disk image to the photo programs, but that's less then

ideal. I tried reformatting the card on the Mac, but then the D850 won't

read it, so reformatted back in the D850.

Anyone else having this problem? Seems to be several complaints on the

Apple and Sony forums, but no answers.

Any suggestions and solutions are welcome!!!
