Display reverts back to default setting after sleep/shut-down/restart.

My Mac Mini (M1 2020, Ventura 13.1) is connected to a display via HDMI and requires some underscan adjustment to fit fully within the parameters of the display. When the computer awakens/starts up after being asleep/shut down, it automatically reverts back to the default setting, which requires me to readjust the underscan setting every time. This only started happening recently - maybe within the past month. Is there a way to make my changes permanent?

Mac mini, macOS 10.15

If you are using any optimizers they could be deleting those settings automatically. MacKeeper, Advanced Mac Cleaner are also very risky to run because they can remove the ability of application launching entirely, and actually slow down your Mac. Macs need no antivirus or optimization tools. Education about what is risky and how to act on it is more important than running utilities. If unsure if you downloaded a utility inadvertently, use Etrecheck to determine if one is running in the background.

If nothing is running that could potentially create a problem with your resolution, EasyRes makes it easier to return to your favorite setting than navigating through the system settings.

You may also want to look into DisplayConfigX or SwitchResX.

If you have a backup from prior to the issue starting, you may want to see if recovering the backup will resolve the issue.
