Cant download a purchased song

I purchased an album in Oct 2022 but was checking for the music recently and it’s not showing up in my iTunes library. I don’t have the option to download it into my library and every time I try to got to the iTunes Store it says I’ve purchased it but it takes me to an Apple Music subscription request when I try to play the song. If I can’t even download, play and listen to the song I purchased, I should at least be refund the cost of purchase! Is this some new Apple process to force you to sign up for Apple Music in order to listen to the music you’re purchased?!
