Why did all my notes get deleted when I didn’t delete anything?

This morning, I went into my notes app to find one of my important passwords and turns out all my notes got deleted when I didn’t delete anything. What happened?

It is possible that the notes were deleted due to a syncing issue with iCloud. To recover them, open the Notes app and tap the back arrow in the upper-left corner, then choose the “Recently Deleted” folder. If they are not there, check if they have been backed up to iCloud.
