Recovery of Notes cleared after signing out and back into my apple ID

I signed out and signed back into my apple ID. Before signing out, I received a prompt and chose to “copy” all the info before logging out.

When I logged back in, I chose the option to “merge” all the info on the device back with the apple ID. Now, everything seems fine, except my Notes app has been cleared and I seem to have lost all of my notes.

can I recover them? And why did this happen?

Hey, rant-abarash,

You could try and check your recently deleted section in notes if they aren't there then you might be out of luck. My theory is that the "copy and merge" process didn't complete in time and thus lost the notes.
