I have always used Google Calendar on my iPhone 7. It just disappeared. No icon anywhere. Updated it from App Store but still no icon. Rebooted; no change. Only way I can open it is with Siri. How get my icon back?

Did you check the App Library? Apps can be removed from the home screen without being deleted. Go to the App Library (swipe left past your last home screen). From there you can touch and hold an app and slide it left back to the home screen.
Also note the Search window at the top of the App Library.
