yes, she clicks on “Get” when downloading an app and nothing happens? No password request, just nothing happens, it’s weird.
many thanks

Hi, thanks for replying. Her problem is that she can’t download new ones from the App Store.?it’s been like this ever since I created her own account and added her to family sharing?
Hello CB5480,
Have you set up Screen Time on this child's device? If so, check for the following: Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Under iTunes & App Store Purchases, you'll have the option to Allow or Don't Allow the following:
It will also ask if you'd require the password, Always Require or Don't Require; to download apps and content.
Let us know if you're able to solve this by allowing the child the ability to download and purchase apps.
Wishing you well, take care.
Hi,
thanks again for replying. I really appreciate it. But sadly, that didn’t work either 😕 Do you happen to have any other ideas?
many thanks x
Hello CB5480,
For difficulties with downloading apps, the general steps below may help:
1. Manually update the app

2. Add a payment method
You might need to have a valid payment method on file, even if the app that you want to download is free.
Add a payment method
3. Resolve a problem with your payment method
If your payment method is expired, declined, or failed, or a message says 'billing problem with previous purchase'
4. Prioritize the download
From the Home Screen, touch and hold the app. From the menu that appears, choose Prioritize Download.
5. Restart your device
Restart your iPhone or iPad, then check to see if you can download or update apps.

Hi CB5480,
Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.
Can you explain what happens when she tries to download an app? Try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network on download while connected to cellular. If she's using cellular, but unable to download apps, make sure that the App Store button is enabled in Settings > Cellular.
Regards.
