Hey Fekadu Shone,

Are you wanting to transfer an eSIM to a physical SIM card? There's an option to convert a physical SIM card to an eSIM, however there isn't an option to convert from an eSIM to physical SIM. The article that you reviewed provides steps on how to convert from physical SIM card to an eSIM. We're providing the article here as well: About eSIM on iPhone .

If you're wanting to have an active cellular plan on a physical SIM card and a cellular plan on an eSIM, check out this article: Using Dual SIM with an eSIM. "To use two different carriers, your iPhone must be unlocked". If both plans are from the same carrier is doesn't have to be unlocked.

The information in this article lets you know what you would need to do to unlock the iPhone: How to unlock your iPhone for use with a different carrier.

Take care.

As a supplement to Sheree_P's post.

If you "convert" your current SIM card with your phone number to an eSIM with the same number, your SIM card will automatically close and your eSIM will take over. After that, you can choose to insert a new SIM card, with a different number, from the same or a different Carrier.
