Please change the Alt keyboard symbol

When will Apple change the confusing Alt keyboard symbol ?

I often confuse the current Mac Os keyboard Alt symbol with the control symbol. It's bad enough that I can't even type the symbol that I mean.

I wonder if Apple can use a more intuitive symbol on their keyboard like Å or Ä for alt and Č for control instead of the current ones. These are also already included keyboards symbols that can be easily typed in descriptions, rather than the outdated symbols we’re stuck with. 

Please let’s start this dialogue to make apple better for future generations.
