HELP! HTML email signature advice - where's the signature folder?

So trying to follow the instructions for adding a HTML email signature but I can't find the Signature folder? Have I binned it by mistake or does it not exist anymore?

These are the instructions I found which I wanted to follow:

Locate the HTML email signature file

  • Open up a finder window
  • Select your Macintosh HD folder
  • Go to Users
  • Select your username (If you cannot see the hidden folders, press cmd+shift+dot. Repeat this to hide them again if you wish)
  • Open Library (a hidden folder)
  • Then open Mail
  • Find and open V7 (or whichever V folder is the newest)
  • Next, open MailData,
  • Now open Signatures
  • Within this folder, there will be all your signature folders with random strings for their filename.
  • Locate the newest one (this is the file you created in step 1).

The old instruction may no longer apply.

Many things have changed in Ventura... I see no current tutorial for HTML Sig for the macOS Ventura.

From your Finder>Go>Go To Folder, copy & paste:

~/Library/Mail/

The Ventura is the V10

if you are using iCloud Drive you can look here:

~/Library/Mobile Documents/

We are having the same issues. After copying the ~V10/MailData/Signatures

folder from the Mac Mini being replaced because Mail wouldn't save any

new signatures and the folder did not exist; we had signautres though then had to go straight into the .mailSignature files

[/Users/<myuser>/Library/Mail/V10/MailData/Signatures/] themselves

to update using text edit to make any changes. Something is broken in

new Ventura installs.

1 - Hi is this Ventura?

not on mine. As all chance when I was fixing another issue I might have deleted it altogether.

2- is there a way to reinstall Mail without losing all my settings

1 - Yes

2 - No

Apple Mail Application can neither be Removed ( Deleted ) nor Reinstalled as a Standalone Installer

Reason, Apple Mail Application is Built Into the Operating System

One can Reinstall the entire Operating System via the Recovery Mode and choose Reinstall macOS.

The above is often times referred to as " An in-place installation.

That being Installing Over the Existing installed Operating System.

Though, in this computers situation, the In Place installation would replace any corrupted elements of the System

This, I sense will not effectively resolve the existing issue - Mail Signatures issue

For that, I will defer to the More Learned Contributor on this, your issue
