I found today when cleaning the screen two deep scratches (the size of a needle ~ 1-2 mm) Apparently they appeared when the lid was closed and grains of sand on the case next to the touchpad. Is this covered under warranty?

But rulings on such matters are only made in person, at a genus bar appointment (free) at an Apple-owned store.
Your warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship for the stated warranty period.
So this case will relate to the defect of the material? Or is this case out of warranty?
