how to change time from milliseconds to seconds during workout

Time is shown in minutes:seconds:milliseconds during my workouts on my Apple Watch. I would like to change it to show just minutes:seconds. How can I do this?

Hi hyssop99,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! The steps to edit a workout from the article below may help:

Use the Workout app on your Apple Watch

Change the metrics for each workout
1. On your Apple Watch, open the Workout app.
2. Tap the More button the ... icon next to the workout that you want to do.
3. Tap the Edit button  next to the goal.
4. Tap Workout Views, then tap Edit Views.

5. Tap Include to add the metric to your Workout View. You can also tap the Edit button next to a metric, then select a metric to edit.
Depending on the type of workout, you can include metrics such as:
Heart Rate
Power
Segments
Splits
Elevation
Pace
Cadence
Distance
Duration
Vertical Oscillation
Running Stride Length
Ground Contact Time
You can also tap Reorder, then touch and hold the Change Order button the accordion icon to change the order.

Choose between different measurements for energy burned and distance
1. On your Apple Watch, open the Settings app.
2. Tap Workout, then tap Units of Measure.
3. Select the appropriate unit of measurement:
For Energy Units, select Calories, Kilocalories, or Kilojoules.
For Pool Length Units, select Yards or Meters.
For Cycling or Walking and Running workouts, select Miles or Kilometers.

Hope this helps!

Have a great day.

You're welcome, hyssop99,

Are you unable to edit the metrics for every workout or is it a specific workout? If you restart your Apple Watch and companion iPhone, do you see the same results? If you need help to restart your devices, we've included resources below to show you how:

We look forward to your reply.

Cheers!
