iPhone pro 13 purple tint camera

I see this issue mentioned here quite a bit here and I was just wondering what are my options. My phone started exhibiting purple tint whenever I’m using the camera. At first it was only once in a while but now it’s more consistent. I cannot take any close-ups at all without the purple tint showing up. Ruined all our vacation and holiday photos to boot…

I purchased it via Amazon and they won’t return it, only offered to repair it, which I don’t want. Anyone had success with returning it outright? At this point, I don’t even want a replacement phone due to this experience. I’ve had Samsung phones until now and used iPhone as my work phone, but decided to make the switch and use it as my private phone and now this. :/

On the other hand, I’ve used iPads ever since they came out. I went through at least 6-7 and I find them to be incredibly reliable. I went through them not because there was something wrong with then, but because I wanted to upgrade to the next model. I think my first ever iPad is still up and running somewhere. :) However, to experience this on an incredibly pricey phone a couple of months into its tenure is not acceptable, imho.
