Disable audio plug-ins when starting FinalCut

Come on Apple Staff!

It is just ridiculous that this question pops up over the years now and still

there is no solution to this ESSENTIAL and FATAL problem.

You claim to produce 'professional grade applications' for pro users; but the most simple things do not work!

I also have allot of Audio Units installed on my Apple Music Production System. Over 500 ! And yes, these are actually needed!

Final Cut Pro (latest at this date) just does not open for hours and will hang forever on scanning AU plugins!

This is UNPROFESSIONAL and well, quite INFANTILE behaviour.

NOBODY actually can work with such software seriously. You have to wait for hours to get this app even shown. Everything is blocked by the scan. Only 'force shut down' will help, having no project created this way at all...

Please finally implement something, that let the users select, which AU plugins they actually want to use with FinalCut PRO, as there only a small selection does even make any sense with video editing !!!

The same actually is true for Logic Pro X. But there at least is a possibility to configure it after the scan is done...

THIS IS HIGHLY unprofessional. Basically USELESS app this way.

Can someone please switch human brains on here???

Kindest regards.

I just tried to fix that issue by renaming the systems AU folder, (which is highly critical by the way).

These units are then gone with the scan BUT...

... FinalCut PRO will continue to scan all AUv3 Audio Units and hang forever this way! These units are located allover the places on the disk and would require to de-install ALL THESE 3rd party apps, that are using it.

It even hangs by scanning Apples OWN AUv3 system units and will not start.

This is a complete DISASTER !!!

(Do you actually have someone, who ensures your own app quality? Or does this only apply to 3rd party developers (like myself), which are heavily treated with such massacre for decades now?)

Kind regards.

By the way, forcing to kill this crap will not solve the problem. The app is starting to scan all the already scanned AUs again and again with number 1.

Users have to modify the system folder for Audio Units to get that working. This is highly critical for all other apps. With your newly introduced 'AUv3 way' this is just more worse now, as these plugins do not sit in a shared system folder, but are distributed across the entire system in their own sandboxed environments !!!

Seems quite, that Apple has lost overview and control over their OWN software and system architecture TOTALLY. ^^

That comes from someone (me), who is sitting 20 hours per day on Apple machines and desperately tries to get something done with that. ^^

Or do you merely focus on consumer grade mobile apps now, that are lost next day anyway???

Please sit down and start to FIX that finally. Forever!

(I guess you will lose professional customers all, one day this way, otherwise.)

And please, stop raving yourself at your countless 'events', until these massive FAULTS are not fixed for your customers.

Kindest Regards
