Pairing Apple, second generation pencil to Apple iPad Pro

How do I pair the Apple second generation pencil to the apple iPad Pro? I have placed the pencil on the magnetic strip, checked the tip to ensure that it is screwed on well, with no friction as I’ve seen in videos however, when I go to the settings and try to add the pencil and work with it the pencil is not recognized it does not show That the pencil has been paired or does it try to pair it? The Bluetooth is on so I need another suggestion.

The Pencil should automatically pair with the iPad when placed on the Magnetic connector on the side. There should be nothing else you need to do besides that.

If the pencil does not show up in Bluetooth Settings, it means it probably has not made the connection or has no battery charge so the iPad cannot see it.

Is this a new pencil? Or a used one?

If its a used pencil, was it left discharged for an extended period of time?

What exact model of iPad Pro do you have? Settings ➜ General ➜ About ➜ Model
