I'm having double spaces randomly inserted while typing as well as the cursor shifting to other lines randomly.

Are these random spaces and cursor movements caused by a key function being turned on? If so what is the fix?

It's not only maddening it wastes lots of time to constantly correct.

Thanks very much!

• Nope, the case is intact and flat. I checked the Apple service list and these were the list of errors listed:
Letters or characters repeat unexpectedly
• Letters or characters do not appear
• Key(s) feel "sticky" or do not respond in a consistent manner
None of these apply to what is happening. It's spacing, not letters that repeat.
Also the cursor relocates itself at random.
Any other ideas?
Thanks!

Try an external keyboard and compare your results.

A swelling battery can cause erratic behavior to the track pad/keyboard if impacted...

look for any visible sign of seam separation, or the Mac not sitting flat on the table. This requires a new battery ASP.
