Court order to access my own iCloud
*context * Day 17 trying to gain access to my iCloud account. Password (as I’m told) has changed and it started signing me out of everything. I had since changed phones and numbers. Was told I needed to regain access to old phone number to be assisted by support. Paid $617 (because 430gigs of data was worth that price to lose) only to then be told I needed the 28 digit recovery key. I’ve never set one up and was told to go through my screenshots, wasn’t found. Did find that y photos were now also all removed as well as contacts and paid subscription apps. After 2 weeks and multiple escalations informed there is absolutely no way to regain access.
i stumbled across legacy contacts starting a new iCloud (against my better judgement) when I realized I had two legacy contacts previously setup as I was battling cancer. A quick search states they could request access upon my passing, and even without it with a court order and death certificate. If that is true then Apple can in fact access my iCloud as they have stated they could not and I should, even though living, be able to gain access with court order. Is that correct?
