switch between workbooks in Excel on iMac

It seems like sometimes <command> ~ works to switch between Excel workbooks, but not always. I thought it was because of full screen vs. non-full screen, but that does not seem to matter. There must be a simple way to switch. Anybody?

excel short cuts in a macbook Hi, Does anyone have a list for short cuts for excel for a MacBook? I'm working in excel and plenty of short cuts for excel in MS windows are known but I can't seem to find anything about using excel in MacBook. For example what short cuts do you use to reach the ribbon on a MacBook? There's no Alt key in MacBook either what can I use? Thanks for your help in advance.

Unable to open Excel and Safari on a split screen I am now unable to open Excel and Safari on a split screen so that I can work on both of them at the same time. This recently changed. Is there a remedy or a fix for this? When I try to look at Safari (1/2 screen) and open my Excel document, Safari slips off the screen and the same with Excel. Any suggestions?

I have never used those key commands to switch workbooks. I go to Window while in Excel and it shows all the workbooks that are open and I select the on I want.
