Unable to open Excel and Safari on a split screen

I am now unable to open Excel and Safari on a split screen so that I can work on both of them at the same time. This recently changed. Is there a remedy or a fix for this? When I try to look at Safari (1/2 screen) and open my Excel document, Safari slips off the screen and the same with Excel. Any suggestions?

"Merge All Windows" function in Safari is not working anymore Hello, After two updates, moving to Monterey and Ventura, the "Merge All Windows" function in Safari stopped working. Whenever I use it now, it closes the other windows I have open in Safari and deletes my pinned tabs. In some cases, it will merge all the windows into one, but will change all the tabs to the start up screen. Additionally, whenever I pull a tab out of safari to make it a separate window, it will be gray out the other safari window, only highlighting one at a time. Was hoping the Ventura update would solve this problem, but it has not. Is there a way to fix this?

Safari opening first tab instead of last active tab on MacBook since 14.4 update I have Safari set up to open with all windows from last session. Before latest Sonoma update to 14.4, Safari would open with the last active tab (as it still does on iPhone and iPad). Now when I open Safari, it always opens with the first tab on left hand side of display. How do I get it back to opening on last active tab again?

How to keep windows open when opening new app in stage manager? PLEASE HELP! When I use stage manager and I have open a file, why do all the other widows disappear. I am using safari, and I need to open a PDF or image to pull some information from it. Then safari automatically get minimized. This is so annoying. Is there an option to just keep the all the windows open when opening a new app? Apple please fix this because this is the dumbest UX UI experience ever on an otherwise useful tool.

It still works for me with Ventura 13.5.1.

I open both Safari and an Excel spreadsheet, then click the green button at the top left corner of the Safari window and click "Tile window to the left of screen" and then click the Excel window.
