calls that are streaming to hearing aids randomly disconnected ever since iOS 16

I have an iPhone XR that I have always kept it up to date, so it is now @ iOS 16.2. I have Oticon BTE rechargable hearing aids that are just over a year old.

Ever since iOS 16 (& never before), when streaming calls to the hearing aids, the streaming to the hearing aids is randomly dropped. At that time, the hearing aids option disappears from the selection of audio choices (e.g., iPhone, speaker, etc.) for the call. On some calls the streaming to hearing aids option returns, but other times it does not. This is, of course, very frustrating for anyone with hearing aids, and I hear there are other reports of this problem.

Additionally...

Ever since iOS 16, I have often gotten a failure message for having my Apple Watch open my Mac, always with the message stating the "wifi signal too weak." My Watch has been inches from my Mac, and both devices have been within feet of the router.

When iOS 16 was first released, there were also several reports in the news that many iPhone users were having wifi randomly dropped.

Are all of these things possibly related?
