I'm having problem with my laptop

I have the MacBook Air A1370. I ended up deleting and restoring Lion. I have everything up and running, or so I thought.

main thing is I can’t use Safari. It won’t update and its will Not load some pages. Other issues I have noticed are the App Store. It will not load any pics of the apps. Just question marks. I am also not able to get my email. The mail server is apparently down.

I’ve searched around but no luck. I even went back into disk utility and verified and repaired disk permissions. Successfully.

I’m still not sure what’s wrong. There’s got to be something I’m missing.

You are not missing anything. The limitations you are encountering are due to OS X 10.7.5 "Lion" being outdated for purposes that implement more recent protocols to establish authenticated, encrypted communication between networked devices — meaning, just about everything these days. The App Store, certainly. Most websites will not load. Even things that used to be simple like email are going to be problematic, even printing over a network to newer printers might not work.

You might be able to upgrade that model MacBook Air to "High Sierra". Read How to download macOS - Apple Support. High Sierra remains compatible with most recent security requirements; not all though.

Write back if you need help upgrading that Mac. As I recall you can't go from Lion to High Sierra in just one step; you may need to upgrade it to El Capitan first. The reason I am uncertain is that it's been a long time since I did that.
