AirPods authentication error

I updated my IOS yesterday on all my devices and now my already authenticated AirPods are coming up as can’t authenticate and to top it off my left AirPod functions and shows connected but will not play sound… My AppleCare has expired and my AirPods are messed up due to the update, I’m not sure what to do I’ve already gone through all the reset steps etc.

Cannot verify AirPods Hello everyone, I have a issue with left Airpod pro. Touch gesture work but doesn't play music. Problem has start with new update I can't remeber which one. Model number: A2084 Serial: H3******C6L Version: 3A283 Airpods was a gift for me so I was not sure it is original pair but I received, when I connect them to my appleID account, 6 months of apple music and the thing is with new update ios 16 I got msg cannot verify airpods so if it's fake why I had 6 months apple music? How to fix that ? I don't have receipt so I can't go to apple store right? PS. According to other topics if ios 16 cant verify airpods I can't update my airpod firmware like i said before issue start with new update. [Edited by Moderator]

Can’t verify AirPods Pro anymore after reset I’ve had these AirPods Pro now for a little over a year I think and I’ve never really had issues with it apart from the fact that I kept having to disconnect from it in order to switch devices (from iPhone to iPad) and after doing a bit of research I found out that it should be able to connect to both my iPad and iPhone at the same time but it didn’t work so I tried resetting my AirPods Pro. I pressed Forget This Device and held the button at the back for 15 seconds until the lights started flickering pretty fast in the hopes that a reset would fix my problem. But now whenever I try to connect to it it says it can’t verify my AirPods And when I tried to check coverage by checking the serial number it said “this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced” How could this have happened and is there any way to get this fixed?

Try these steps if you hear no sound from one AirPod - If your left or right AirPod isn't working - Apple Support
