Volume changing

I have an iPhone XR and I am running iOS 16.2 on my phone. People I speak with on my phone have difficulty hearing me. I find that the volume button keeps going down at least half way. If I bring it to the highest and immediately press the volume button again, I find that it has returned to less that half way. Has anyone else experienced this and how can I resolve this? I have gone to Settings, Sound and Harpics and increased the volume there, but that is for my side. Ideas all welcome. Thanks

If you have a hearing or sound issue on your device then please try some of these processes to set it right

If the above options do not mitigate the issues then Contact your carrier and then Contact Apple Support
