facebook jumps around
Is anyone having issues with Facebook scrolling and jumping through posts when you don't even have your hand on the mouse?

Yes. Facebook has become unusable for me on the Mac. If you're in the general timeline feed (House icon towards the top left), FB spews out ad after ad without you doing anything.
I timed it twice, and both times FB barfed up ads for 30 seconds straight before it finally stopped. By then, an article I actually wanted to read had been pushed up and off the top of the list. I couldn't even get back to it.
I did check my settings and had every possible ad control set to never show ads (as much as you can turn off). Made no difference.
This doesn't happen if I'm on my iPad using Facebook's dedicated app.
Edit: Per some of other comments here, it seems to be directly related to the current version of Safari and Ventura. If I use Firefox (same OS), no problem.
Yep, fb not loading and jumping up and down, I'm using Ventura.
same, I am on BigSur and the issue began today. Highly irritating.
YES! It just started with the most recent update.
Same with me and all my friends....on desktops not mobile.
Yes my Facebook on my MacBook Pro is jumping and scrolling uncontrollable. Anyone have the solution?
Yes it is frustrating...using Chrome no issues nor on my iPad neither....wonder why.
Facebook started jumping around from post to post a few days ago and is still doing it, any plans to fix it?
This is also happening to me. It does not appear to be fixed by chan ing the zoom setting as someone suggested.
Jumping around like crazy on my iPad using Safari, not the FB app, which I hate. It feels like it has a mind of its own.

I had an update the other day because I accidentally clicked on it instead of having it done at night and then had to wait about 15 minutes for it to update. This was on Ventura.
Ventura’s last update was January 10th.
For me it started before the update. I then did the update hoping it would fix it. No change. Do it doesn’t appear to be related to the two most recent updates.
Mine just started a day ago but yes it is very annoying!
I just sent a "report a problem" to facebook and nicely asked them to stop messing around and fix the Safari issue.
Yes. It started after the last OS update. I can't really use facebook at all. I hope Apple is working on a fix for this.
