You have an iPhone 14 Pro and it is still covered under Apple's 1YR Limited Warranty (US). Take advantage of it and have your iPhone examined at the Apple Store or at an Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and a resolution.

Yes me and other 3 friend we bought iPhone 14 Pro black colour.
the paint is coming off from bezel and power off button.
the paint is coming off and phone is in the case.
you think it is under warranty?
At this point even though I have a little bit of paint coming off my iPhone 14 Pro Max, I’m going to keep it only because I spoke with somebody at T-Mobile concerning the iPhone 15 and all the problems it is having I just assume wait until next year, maybe Apple will figure it out with the iPhone 16. As far as I’m concerned at this point, if there’s a little bit of paint coming off the phone that is fine the point of the phone is to have it worked properly and Apple’s not gonna do anything concerning cosmetics on the phone that’s not really covered under any type of warranty, so for all those people that are having an issue with the iPhone 14 Pro Max in a little bit of pain coming off be patient wait till next year maybe they will figure it out because I knew the iPhone 15 had an issue with discoloration on the titanium, but I had no idea it had an issue with overheating and that’s something my carrier told me about Hang in there everybody I’m sure they’ll have it figured out by next year
No phone manufacturer covers cosmetic damage. Actually most consumer brand manufacturers don’t cover cosmetic damage so to imply that Apple doesn’t cover it specifically because the quality is unacceptable is false. So far I have never experienced the chipping and peeling that people post about every year (and I have upgraded every year except for the year of the 13 series…although I did get my son the 13). We’ll see if the 15 Pro Max continues the streak for me. I like many keep my phone in case and I do take it out of the daily case at least once a week to put it in a folio case and then switch it back later that day so I’m somewhat surprised I haven’t had the issue.
I have the same issues with paint coming off my Iphone 14 - makes the phone look old - I always keep a cover on my phone - I have had 6 different iPhones and this is the first phone I have had this problem - Apple should replace
Mine isn’t the pro but the paint came off my iPhone 14 Plus I got on a bring it back plan with my phone company and now because of this damage they won’t take it back so I’m stuck paying the balance off
Chipping away all along the front - trying to get Apple to fix it but not having much luck.
Hi, I agree. However as above they told me it wasn’t the phone-it was my fault. Nothing else on the phone is scratched or damaged.
Hi, I have this same paint damage like you, but to a lesser extent…I am using original Apple Leather case.
Do you or someone here have any update after visit an Apple Store?
Thanks.
Glad to see I’m not the only one but very frustrating that we, the customer, is being blamed. I’m sure we all have different protective cases yet despite these it’s still happening.
Had a chat with a support guy from apple. He saw the flaws and I should go to an Apple Store to evaluate this situation. Gonna report back when I was at the Apple Store
I’m pretty sure we are all screwed, Apple will deny there’s an issue. I guess we will have to keep our phones in a case permanently to hide the horrid paint chipping!
Hi guys my iPhone 14 pro max is just 2 months old and the colour just faded from the frame very poor quality even aft being the current best iPhone
So you dropped your phone, it got scratched and your mad at Apple about the self inflicted damage?
Common sense would say to put a protective cover on it.
Went to the Apple Store today and was told the same, that cosmetic damage is not covered under warranty… extremely dissapointing
I’ve had the same problem. The paint chipped away from the camera at the back, orribile design from Apple
