Pencil 2 and ipad battery
Is there a fix for the pencil draining issue yet? If I leave my pencil connected to the iPad Air and not not use the iPad, the iPad battery will drain down to 0 overnight.

Please update the device to the latest iPadOS version 16.2. Then test it for 72 hours to see if the issue has been resolved.
