Indexing Issue

Hi,

I recently upgraded to an iPhone 14 Pro Max. When I try to search for an old email, I am unable to find the email. The mail app under this email says indexing. I went into the mail under siri and search. I toggled off the "show App in Search" button and "Show in App" and restarted my phone but still is still indexing. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

iOS 16.2

I don't use iCloud

Hi squill,

You mentioned you recently upgraded, how recently is that?

It is normal for indexing your data to take several hours the first time it occurs. Indexing is required for you to be able to search.

If it's been several days, this issue continues, and your iPhone has had a chance to sit on the charger, then lets consider closing your open apps and restarting your iPhone:

Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch

Restart your iPhone
