MacBook Pro M2 doesn't connect to DELL P2419H

The MacBook Pro M2 recognize the monitor on settings, even the model name P2419 is shown, but nothing happens on the screen until the monitor goes into standby.

I've changed the resolution, tested it with the power cable connected, and in several other ways.

The HDMI adapter works perfectly on an LG TV, so it must not be a issue in the adapter.

Is there any fix?

"shipped in the box" cables are notorious for being 'lowest bidder' cables. They can be good enough to keep you from returning the item, but without the certification label, they are not guaranteed to be good.

To eliminate the cable as possible issue, you need to upgrade to a really good certified cable.

that appears to be a 1920 by 1080 display with:

  • DisplayPort + HDMI + VGA Inputs

HDMI cables you want for HDMI-only Displays (higher resolutions than 720p TV sets) are marked as Certified with an anti-counterfeiting tag and are labeled:

"Premium High Speed HDMI cable" or that + "with Ethernet" --OR--

"Ultra High Speed HDMI cable" or that + "48G"

Cables with No Certification tags are good for your standard 720p TV set, and not much more.
