Manage data/documents on iphone

how can I get rid of the documents and data in the photos in my storage?? Got about 35 photos and no videos but data and documents shows around 5 gb.

And yes, i have emptied the folder ”recently deleted”. I have also updated ios to the latest version (16.2). I have emptied my folder ”messages” and have also tried to change the date (went back in time) but nothing helps. It is stuck on 5gb. I dont use icloud.

Why is it so?

We understand that you want to remove documents and data for Photo app. This is stored cached data for photo content. You can manage your Photo storage using Manage your photo and video storage.

To avoid data loss, back up iPhone to iCloud or to your computer. Restart your iPhone after removing content and clear trash.
