You wouldn't call this "minute techicalities" if you were on the same boat as me and (likely) OP.
PWM is getting more and more annoying over the years, and for my personal experience apple has one of the worst implementations, maybe it's not just the frequency (otherwise 13 pro models should have been good, with 5/600hz frequency, while i found them absolutely unusable) , but the amplitude too.
With that said, using them in stores iPhone 14 plus and pro max seem to be slightly better than base 14 and way better than smaller pro, but it's not a sure test at all, since in apple stores they are at max brightness and the environment is lit up like a firework (with maybe pwm neon lights, who knows).
If the other poster likes to know what the issue is, here you are: eye strain, that then becomes headache, and for the luckiest of us dizziness and vertigo.
Apple had even the deep thought to add dithering too on top of the cake, so for example I cannot update my iPad pro 2018 to iOS 16 because it becomes painful to look at, even if it's LCD (no pwm)
Here you can find some other experiences about minute technicalities, all people limited to iPhone SE and iPhone 11 due to this ****** technology:
