Searching mails in Mac mail - yahoo mail in mac mail

Hello.

I am trying to search few emails from a particular email address. So I am able to find when i write “from” Mr.X, the mails show up, but the mails I have sent to that person I am unable to find. Does mac mail not include search from sent folder ? How does one search all mails sent to that person and received and not all press “any” as then there is a lot to go through.

Separately I use yahoo which is connected to my mac mail. All my mails from the past are not showing in mac mail. i have deleted the account, reconnected it, and also done the rebuild process. No result. Is it the problem with Yahoo ?

Thx in advance

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities shilpafromnull,

When you search the Mail app, it searches by default All Mailboxes. This includes your Sent folder. If you are not finding the search results for messages you have sent, you can search specifically in your Sent folder. Just enter your search criteria in the search box and hit return. Then, click on the Sent folder in your sidebar.
