Album Art In Song View

User clarkfromkilmarnock already asked it before: the choice to have album art visible in song view seems to have been taken away within the Apple Music app library. He writes that in his Big Sur Apple Music update after a few days it suddenly turned up to be selected again in the View Options check-box, so he got them back out. I just did the Catalina 10.15.7 update, and in my View Options there is unfortunately no hint of it! After years of experience with i-tunes, I need a solution to have the album covers appear again in song view in this new Apple Music version. If not, I will have to return to my back-up of the former i-tunes version... I hope however someone can advise me how to avoid this: so how to find the setting to get my album covers back again in song view... Thx for your help!

Jokit,

In Songs view, in the View Options dialog, you can check "Show Artwork" and "Always Show." That works for me.

See if it works for you. See pic below.

Thx for getting back to me! I actually read the same solution in these support pages from someone who recently updated to Big Sur. Unfortunately with my own MacBook yesterday I could only update to the newest Catalina, which in Apple Music unfortunately doesn't show the above solution in my View Options at all anymore (whereas in my iTunes library in the previous Catalina and also Yosemite it always worked perfectly)! I talked to someone from the Apple support team, and it seems the only possibility is to return to my backup of my i-tunes library with that previous Catalina: everything worked way better there than in Apple music! - I hope it will be possible. What's even worse: on top of the above problem, I noticed (like many others in these pages) that Apple Music is completely corrupting my meticulously organized library by continuously replacing my carefully selected Album-covers by covers that are cheap copies or often even completely wrong! Dramatically so while synchronizing my i-Phone, but even more unbelievably in my very own MacBook-library, which over many years I've been carefully composing and improving, with over 20.000 tracks, all from my own cd collection! It's a disgrace! I can assure you that I'm utterly disappointed by Apple for completely ruining their iTunes program after having dedicated 15 years of work and patience to it! What can we do?

OK, I am running Monterey and didn't realize the option had been missing in intermediate releases.
