I got a text saying that a card I don't have was enrolled in Apple Pay

I got a text saying my Aspiration card is enrolled in ApplyPay and saying if this wasn’t me to call a number. Is this a scam?

Hello eleni89,

Do you have an account with Aspiration? We ask because that phone number does appear to be used by them for verification purposes. If you do have an account, we recommend reaching out to them to verify: Eco-Friendly Debit Card - Apply Online | Aspiration

Hello eleni89,

Since the message wasn't sent from Apple, and is for a 3rd party company, all we can do is make suggestions on your next actions. To ensure your device and account security, you may want to do the following:

  1. Research the company and locate their contact details to reach out to them directly, versus using the number provided in the message received. Explain the situation to them and get their recommendations on how to resolve this.
  2. Block or report the message you're receiving. Whether it's spam or a legitimate message, reporting it to be reviewed won't impact anything on your end. If you do not have an account with them, then there is no harm in blocking the number. Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Best regards.
