OS keeps wanting me to sign in, and again, and again....

This will happen over and over. I will sign-in again as it requests but then the message will reappear in a few minutes or hours. Restarting the computer does not help. It has been happening for days.

It started while Apple was trying to help me with a Music App problem. Apple had me sign out of my Apple ID and then sign in again. After the Music App issue was left unresolved, (Apple couldn't fix it) this Sign-In problem started happening. Apple couldn't figure this out either. Apple said to wait a few days. Waiting hasn't helped. Does anyone have any experience with this or ideas? MBP, mid-2012, Catalina 10.15.7

Update: I tried using a different Login and the symptom is not present. It appears that the issue is just with my Apple ID. I'm not sure what to do with this discovery but decided to post it just in case it may help someone else.

As stated in the original post, I have repeatedly entered my Apple ID password and followed the on-screen instructions only to end-up at the same starting point of being asked to do it all again. It has resulted in a continuous loop.

Try this:

Click on Continue.

Enter your Apple ID password, then follow the on-screen instructions.
