iPhone 14 pro max battery health

Hi so me and my wife both got the iPhone 14 pro max. My wife a week before me. She uses lighting cable and standard wireless charging, and I use MagSafe and lightning cable to charge my phone. It’s not even been 7 weeks and my battery health has dropped to 99%. My wife’s is on 100%. My wife’s iPhone has done 22 full charging cycles and my iPhone has done 20. So why has mine dropped and hers hasn’t ? Does this mean MagSafe is worse for the battery than standard wireless charging? Any help is much appreciated. Also to bear in mind my iPhone 13 Pro was 5 months old before the battery health dropped. And I charge it no different to how I’m charging this.

Hey there PostmanGreen,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! To get started, there are a number of different factors that can affect your overall battery health. This can include factors such as the number of charge cycles and how it is cared for.

Your battery health is calculated based on charge cycles. A charge cycle is counted when your iPhone charges a total of 100%. For example, if you charge your iPhone 80% over night and then another 20% tomorrow, that’s considered one charge cycle.

A normal battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 500 complete charge cycles when operating under normal conditions.
