BOTH of my Macbook Pros have the flexgate issue and battery recall issue, but my devices dont "qualify" to be fixed?

I have a 2016 and a 2017 Macbook Pro 15". BOTH screens have gone totally out due to flexgate. The 2017 I mainly used with an external monitor so that one went out recently. My 2016 screen died now three years ago. It went from stage lighting, to shorting out when I moved the screen, to dead. To top it off, my 2016 stopped holding a charge and would only work when plugged in. The battery has always been flaming hot. I treated that laptop like a baby. It's pristine and it's been sitting in a closet because it holds no trade-in value. My 2017 screen went out six months ago and now the battery is doing the exact same thing! This laptop hasnt even left my house! So I went to look into the cost of a battery and I learned there is a recall on the 2015-2017 Macbook Pro 15 inch batteries. So I brought both my devices into the Apple store for a battery fix and none of my devices "qualify" for a battery... and obviously, Apple doesn't care about customers with the flexgate issue. I honestly feel so robbed, I could cry. I don't know how I'm supposed to work unless I take out a loan. To fix the screen is like $600/$700 and the battery is $200. Even if my device was in perfect working order, its trade-in value is now $250. I am so upset. What can I do? I have been a devout Apple customer for 25 years and I feel robbed. I don't think I can support Apple anymore. The same thing happens to my iphones. One day they work and the minute I pay them off things go wrong. I treat my machines so well. It's just so wrong. The genius bar said that I should call Apple support because they can't override their system to at least fix my battery but support could. I called support and they said to go to the genius bar!! So I went back to the genius bar and they said to go to Apple authorized Repair, so I went to Apple repair and they said I could pay $1000 to fix the screen and battery per device. What do i do?

<< I learned there is a recall on the 2015-2017 MacBook Pro 15 inch batteries.>>

When Apple issues a service program, it is based on EXACTLY which Macs actually encountered these same failures, discovered after a deep and thorough post-problem Engineering Investigation. Similar Macs built before or after the problem Macs, and Macs built with slightly different parts or slightly different processes are NOT included.

Your wish to have your Mac covered by such a program is just "Magical Thinking."

--------

Electro-mechanical devices fail at random, arbitrary, and capricious times.

The most frequent reason for most failures is 'just because'.

Your specific failure is most likely caused by an advanced scientific principle called ...

... 'bad luck'.

If you want a really substantial lesson how this this works (or more precisely how this stops working) own an older used automobile.

Clearly mac hasn't investigated enough has flexgate for 15 inch is a REAL issue and has happened to thousands of laptops... so no it's not "magical thinking"- it's ignorance on Apple's part. As for my batteries, both were made during the EXACT time frame of the machines being made, they are the EXACT model and size of the recall, and both have the EXACT issues the recall states. Clearly apple has not been thorough enough.

This is not a "fail at random." Two devices have had the same issue thousands have had. I'm legally not allowed to take my laptops on a plane with me due to this battery.

Nah, this has nothing to do with luck. This has everything to do with faulty terribly made machines. I'm not just pulling these issues out into thin air, THOUSANDS HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS. Apple just doesn't care.

I also had so many problems with my MBP from flexgate to battery issues, keyboard double taps. All service programs that I should pay. For a customer for 15 years a no go and that's why I have also canceled so far everything that has to do with Apple. Nobody deserves this bad service, so I'm sorry for you. But Apple will not take over anything and only bill you.
