Haptic Engine and sound lagging on XS Max

This happens randomly at some times, but it seems like whenever I connect my earphones (not official Apple ones btw, but it’s connected through the official Lightning to Audio jack adapter), my haptic engine vibrations slow down, and it takes very long to play audio and turn the volume up and down. If I enter an app that does both, say Instagram, all audio would take about 1 second to finally play and it would still cut off suddenly, then about 0.3 seconds later, start playing again. Even when typing, keyboard sounds don’t play, then it’ll just bombard my ears with 100 keys being pressed at the same time

To fix this I usually just restart my phone, but it has become annoying just because of the frequency that this is happening.

Any solutions to fix this? Thanks in advance
