Cleaning my iPad Air 4 with 70% alcohol, will it damage the internal hardware?

Hello,

I had my iPad since October 2021, and I have been cleaning it mostly everyday with either 70% alcohol prep pads or some sort of dry wipe, tissue, or paper towel and damp it with 70% alcohol.

What I have failed to do was I do not turn off my device and I don’t usually avoid ports either (I do not get into them but like, I would swipe past through them quickly if that makes sense). Back then I also only clean the case (I did not take the device out) and the screen only, so the ports would have had less contact with alcohol. Only about a couple months ago that I actually started taking the device out from the case and clean the device directly.

My question is, is there a chance that it would damage or had damaged the internal hardware? Or since it’s 70% alcohol it would have likely evaporated already before it reached the internal hardware? Is there a need to have it checked or not likely?

More info:

I do not really experience any major problems with how the device operates. There are a few times recently that it had lagged or apps crashed but that’s about it.

iPad Air, 16

They specifically say to avoid the ports. I suggest you do that going forward. Also, maybe don't do it every day? I find that making sure my hands are clean when I use my iPad and then using a microfiber cloth to get rid of fingerprints is quite sufficient.

If you're not really having problems with your iPad, I wouldn't worry too much about the past.
