Why do some purchased iTunes songs not play

I have about 15 songs in my list of downloaded from the iTunes Store that won’t play and skips to the next song on the list. The title of the song is there…it just won’t play.

Delete it and go to the iTunes Store and download again: Redownload music – Apple Support (AU)

non-playable purchases from iTunes store It seems like a lot of the songs I purchased on my iTunes account about 10+ years ago (before apple music was out) aren't playable anymore. But I also can't download them in the apple music library. I would like to get this resolved considered that these are songs I actually paid for and should have no trouble listening to ever. All songs from a recent purchase did not download from iTunes store. All songs from a recent purchase did not download from iTunes store. They appear on the album list twice but are not accessible. Download circle appears on one copy of each. Asterisk precedes each selection.

cannot buy music suddenly? I suddenly cannot buy music from iTunes, even though I have buying songs and albums for years. In fact, I purchased and downloaded an album last night, but this morning I cannot buy anything. Next to the song is the price, with a drop down screen, but Buy is not listed, only add to wish list, gift to someone, etc.
