How do I get my Google Classroom calendars to sync properly to my Apple Calendar app on my iPhone?

My school board uses Google apps and I have been using Google Classroom for many years now. I am a special education teacher so I am a co-teacher on all my students' Google Classrooms, as well as my own Google Classrooms. Even though old classrooms have bene archived and no longer show up on my Google calendar, they still show up as options on my iPhone Calendar app. This is particularly annoying as I have to scroll past the +100 calendar choices to get to my iCloud Calendar options.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I have tried taking the Google calendar off and adding it again. I have asked the Google Community and they said just to use the Google Calendar app, but I'd rather have one calendar to check. I'd rather not take myself off as a teacher on over 100 classes.

Any advice on how to solve this problem is much appreciated!

Hi ElizabethL2,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today.

You can de-sync Google Calendar entirely, but since you just want these old classrooms removed entirely from the calendar, this sounds like an issue that could best be resolved with Classroom Help. It's possible you may need to contact your school's IT department as well.

Have a fantastic day!
