iPhone X missing add calendar option

Hey smarties,


ive been struggling with iPhone. So I’ve been trying to add/create a new calendar on my iPhone so I can share that with family however there’s no option for me to add. That’s on the calendar app when you go to bottom middle calendar tab all my synced calendars from gmail, iCloud appears and hide all/show all tab on the right is there but nothing on the left side where usually is the add calendar tab.


can anyone help please?

For help with adding a calendar and viewing the option, first ensure your iOS is fully updated. If needed, the steps below found in the article here can assist: Update your iPhone or iPad


You can also check to see if you can add an account to view the calendar with the steps below, found here: Set up multiple calendars on iPhone


"Set up iCloud, Google, Exchange, or Yahoo calendar accounts

  1. Go to Settings  > Calendar > Accounts > Add Account.
  2. Do any of the following:
    • Tap a mail service (iCloud, Microsoft Exchange, or Google, for example), then sign in.
    • Tap Other, tap Add CalDAV Account or Add Subscribed Calendar, then enter your server and account information."


You can also check your restrictions to ensure you can allow account and settings changes with the help of the article here: Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
