I have iPhone 12 ( unlocked , purchased from apple store and using version ) and I would like to use esim when I get Japan (maybe from ahemo ) as dual esim. Is it possible ? While in Japan I only use Japan line not use US version number…Please advice.

That is a great point SravanKrA, and you are correct that the iPhone 12 will work with DUAL SIM (one Physical SIM and one eSIM). This means that if you have two eSIMs then only one line will work at a time, however, the other will still be saved and can be set to ON later while the other will be OFF. The iPhone 13 and newer will work with two eSIMs (DUAL eSIM).
Have said all that, the Author posted that, “ While in Japan I only use Japan line not use US version number”, I therefore started that this setup will work on the iPhone 12 because one of the eSIMs (US version number) will be OFF and the Japanese eSIM will be ON.

As far as my knowledge goes iPhone 13 and above only has Dual eSIM support.
On iPhone 12 you can surely have 1 SIM an 1 eSIM
