Screen time app limits keep disappearing on my kids’ devices

It is still the same. The screen time settings just switches off by itself and all the settings are gone and reset back to their reset values. This is so frustrating when we are trying to educate the kids and spending money to buy Apple devices allowing them to exercise restraint but at the same time guide them along using screen time restrictions.

APPLE PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP.

Apple —- why can’t you figure this out??!!! I set limits, yet, I check their screen time and they are have way more time than I have allowed. They are able to bypass / ignore and definitely not blocked after the time limit set

I wish this was that easy. I have had numerous heated conversations with my kids and they said they hadn't tempered with the settings of which I accused them of lying. After several incidents, I decided to confiscate their phone for a few days and locked them away and unfortunately, the same thing happened and all the screen time settings turned off by itself.

I am having this issue too - all the sudden all restrictions are gone, I even thought it was the update I updated and still there I tried everything but everyday they are gone! These are newer phones the 12-14 pro so how do we fix this Parents do not have the time to keep resetting these.

This has caused so much trouble in my family, my kids spend way too much time on their phones because the screen time turns off without me knowing. I’ve also accused them of lying about how it’s turned off so it’s really annoying to see that this is an Apple problem. I hope Apple makes an effort to resolve this quickly because it is causing people a lot of problems.

I’m still having screen time issues. Selected options doesn’t stay, keeps resetting.

I need to set up screen time 3-4 times a day. Block at downtime keeps getting toggled off!!! This is maddening and unacceptable. This has been going on for the last 6 months!

This needs to be fixed!!! Very disruptive and NOT safe for the kids!!

what the **** Apple!!??!?!

For me, one of my children's phones allows me to reset the limitations on Apps, but immediately resets it to 23hr 59min, Every Day.

Is that what this looks like for others, or have they found some hack to install that defeats App Limits?

That’s not my experience anyway. In my case the app limits simply disappear on both my daughter’s accounts at the same time. It’s looks as it does when no app limits are set. I haven’t seen the app limits set to long limits, just disappearing completely. They’re disappearing daily now, I have to add them again every day.

The issue is that the app limits are disappearing and must be reset again and again (for some folks daily, for me weekly). This just started happening for me a few weeks ago. It sounds like it’s been going on for quite some time for others.

All I’m allowed to tell you is wait a little bit more.

That's not right if you have set a screen time passcode. It asks for the passcode before it resets the whole phone.

This is still an issue for us as well. It's extremely inconvenient, and making me consider my options the next time we are purchasing phones.

Exactly the same issue with my daughters iPhone SE 2020. Every few days all the restrictions just disappear. Not an issue with my sons iPhone 8.

More than frustrating! Need a fix for this!

Has anyone gotten answers in these child restrictions that keep occurring and the one minute cheat they also do?
