Finally got a answer from Apple. The Apple Store iOS app will not show complete order details. They eliminated this functionality. Order details are obtained from Apple.com website. They also cleared up the message which now states when clicking on the arrow on an order. The message states “You order cannot be viewed on the Apple Store app. Please view your order details on apple.com “ The message used to say “Your order does not match the Apple ID that is currently signed in. Please view your order details at apple.com

Hi J1SG70, yes, again I can confirm your finding 100%. If you make through the App, it will not give the error.
And curiously enough, my older orders (from early fall 2022 and earlier) are accessible from the Apple Store app on the iPhone, even though all those were also made on the website using a laptop (just like the more recent ones that now give the Order ID does not match error).
Anyway, please come back with what Apple Support comes back with. I will call them as well, won't harm to get a few people reporting this.
Thank you for the info, however Apple Support doesn’t have the answer. When I go to the Apple web page thru Safari I can can view my orders and order details. When I try to view the details of an order on the Apple Store App in IOS on my devices it states “Your order does not match the Apple ID that is currently signed in. Please view you order details on apple.com. I only have one Apple ID and I am signed in with on all my iOS devices. Not sure if this started whin I upgraded to iOS 16.2 on all my Apple devices.

Were you able to find a solution? I'm running into the exact same issue, with the exact same setup.
100% confirmed making the order with the same Apple ID as I'm logged into iOS and Apple Store app with.

I contacted Apple Support and yet to hear back from them on a resolution. Strangely If I order through the Apple iOS Apple Store App on my IOS devices it will show order details in the App on that order. Anything ordered through Apple.com webpage gets the same message that I referenced above in the Apple iOS Apple Store App. I will post if Apple Support gets back to me
Same issue for me. Just ordered a new Apple Watch strap. The order and order status is showing in the ‘for you’ section in the Apple Store app which is linked to my Apple ID but when you click on it gives the same error message.
Hi Raicya, this didn't work for me. Isn't this only for cases when you made a order as Guest and want to associate it to your Apple ID later on? Anyway, no dice for me.
Getting this same behavior. Just ordered a new MacBook and it says "Your order does not match the Apple ID that is currently signed in. Please view your order details on apple.com"
I am also experiencing this. Purchased a MacBook and Apple care through the website. I can view the status there, but when I try checking in the app it tells me my Apple ID does not match.
