WiFi keeps saying incorrect password

Hello Community,

im using an iPhone 11 recently updated to iOS 16.2. Since the upgrade the wifi saying incorrect password issues has become a regular occurrence every 2-3 days.

Sometimes resetting the network works, sometimes not. Sometimes restarting the phone works. Iā€™ve also had to restart my modem once.

itā€™s frustrating to do this every couple of days. Any tips?

And is it another ploy to push us to a phone upgrade ?

thanks for your help in advance.

Hello dheeraj.c,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

Let's reset your network settings and test:

Reset your network settings
If you're using iOS or iPadOS 15 or later, tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
If you're using iOS or iPadOS 14 or earlier, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

More steps can be found here: If your iPhone or iPad won't connect to a Wi-Fi network

If the issue persists, can you provide a few more details? Does this happen on multiple networks? Also, are any other devices experiencing similar issues?

Cheers!
