Can’t send or receive sms or mms. I get message that reads “ Free Msg: Unable to send message - Message Blocking is active.”

Verizon just took over the lifeline SafeLink and I was told that t-mobile has issues with shortcode and they are part of Verizon also. I’ve done all I can but nothing helped.

Only impacts to /from NON-iPhone or any group text. Can not send or receive SMS messages from Android or any group text messages. Checked SMS, MMS configurations and blocking on numbers. Nothing changed. Have Reset. Removed sim and restarted. Took it back to where I bought it and ran through their tech. Updated carrier settings, firmware. I've done everything except erase and restore the phone. Was told it was an Apple phone issue and not T-mobile. Anyone else have this issue or suggestions before I take this to the Apple store?

Free Msg: Unable to send message - Message Blocking is active. “ Free Msg: Unable to send message - Message Blocking is active.” How can i fix this problem? i have contacted my carrier and they were no help. ive turned on and off my phone about 20 times. it seems to only happwn when android users try to text me but calling goings through. i don’t have any of the people who’ve tried contacting me blocked. ive ran out of ideas.

You do not have any SMS plan enabled by your carrier. Probably you only have a Data plan on the SIM.

See the pic below. I only have a Data plan with Google Fi.
