UK Applecare alternative for Macbook Pro M1 Max over 1 year old

Hi,

I just bought a 16" Macbook Pro M1 Max from eBay which is over a year old and am struggling to find a reasonably priced alternative to Applecare to insure for accidental damage and mechanical failure.

Obviously I can't get Applecare for this device, as confirmed via phone with Apple.

If iI were to insure new for old, I guess the newer equivalent replacement would be the Macbook 16" M2 Max at £3,749, which goes over the limit of most "insure my gadget" type of insurer.

Can anyone from the UK who has been in a similar position please let me know if they have found a good insurer for this kind of thing?

It would be even better if the insurer would use Apple as repair centre.
