Other Apps Audio Issue During FaceTime Call

Sometimes when I’m on a FaceTime call with my boyfriend, I’ll usually turn to TikTok to keep myself busy while he’s taking care of something off camera. When scrolling through TikTok or I go on other apps while on the call, the volume automatically goes to full blast and I end up having to turn it down, but because I turn it down, I end up not hearing when my boyfriend calls out to me. I just recently upgraded my iPhone XS Max to the iPhone 14 Pro Max so there’s some getting used to the new changes.

Is there a way I can turn down the volume on other apps and/or turn up the volume on FaceTime?

we understand that when you’re on a FaceTime call and then start using another app, the other app’s audio is in the forefront. We are happy to help.

This is expected behavior for the app that you’re using at the time sound to be focused on or louder than the app that’s in the background.
